Located 40 kms north of Hervey Bay

20 kms north of Buxton on the Burrum river with boat access to Hervey Bay.

This property is currently used to produce:-

Sugar, 100 acres planted, can plant up to 240 acres with present on farm water storage of 280 megs

Pasture seed, this crop is the big earner at the moment with most production being exported direct to the Middle East. Seed is produced on 337 acres with 175 under irrigation, a further 70 acres has been cleared.

Aquaculture. There are two ponds five years old and three ponds one year old. These ponds are producing silver perch which are sold via private orders to Brisbane, Sydney the Gold Coast etc.

The limit, due to water supplies is twelve ponds.

Beef cattle, can carry up to 200 head with present improvements.

Included in the sale are all the plant and equipment plus 50 head of cattle and 45,000 fish.

A new fish hatchery has been completed.

The sale is due to ill health of the owner who will assist and instruct in the fish farming and pasture seed projects for six months after the sale.

This property has room for further expansion via a plan lodged with local authorities to build another dam of 450 megalitres. Due to the coming election in QLD this is on hold after being listed for objections, of which there were none.

Returns have averaged approx 7.5% per year over the past five years.

Potential earnings are between 12.5 and 15 percent with a capital growth of 8% plus.

This project is limited to 15 share holders at A$100,000 per share.

This is less than it would cost you to buy a unit at or near Hervey Bay and there are no ongoing costs to worry about.

The home (a lovely old high set Queenslander) would be extended to cater for ten guests at a time. There would be a limit of two months per visit per year per share.
